Remembering loved ones

Our Beit Midrash offers three ways to sanctify the memory of our departed loved ones by reciting the mourner’s Kaddish:

The entire year after the passing

The whole week of the yahrtzeit

The day of the yahrtzeit

Our sages teach us the tremendous importance of saying Kaddish for our departed loved ones.

Sometimes, in addition to the dedication of this prayer by a relative, or when there is no relative who can say Kaddish during the first year after a loved one passes on – or on the loved one’s yahrtzeit – a God-fearing Torah scholar can by hired to say Kaddish for the loved one’s soul.

In our Beit Midrash, one of our scholars dedicates himself to saying Kaddish, in accordance with the special customs instituted by Mara”n Rabbi Yosef Chaim, the Ben Ish Chai.

Please note:

Fill in the donation form with the name of your loved one and the mother’s name (the Sephardic custom), or the father’s name (the Ashkenazi and Yemenite custom), and the Jewish date of the yahrtzeit.

On the yahrtzeit we will send you a digital photo of the memorial screen in the Beit Midrash and on a main wall of the building, commemorating your loved ones. The memorial screen will also be featured on the home page of our website. On Fridays and Shabbat, the screen shows the “Weekly Parnas” – the donor sponsoring the studies for that week.

With your donation, you become a partner in our Torah learning and chesed activities.

May we all merit Hashem’s graciousness, and to benefit the souls of our loved ones.

In the first year, the burial date is observed as the yahrtzeit.

From the second year, the date of the passing is observed.

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have, at +972-54-4477562

After you send the names of the departed, we will send you a WhatsApp or email message, that your request has been received.

Please let us know the name of the loved one at least 17 days before the yahrtzeit, and the date of the yahrtzeit, so that we can make the necessary preparations for the mention of the loved one’s name on the Shabbat before the yahrtzeit and to dedicate the weekly
